Measurements

Accurate measurements are required before production begins.

Before you start:

  • use a flexible measuring tape
  • have a second person assist (recommended)
  • wear fitted base layers (no bulky clothing)

Measurements must reflect your riding posture, not a relaxed standing position.

Key measurement areas include:

  • chest, waist, hips
  • torso length (front and back)
  • arm length and circumference
  • leg length and inseam
  • knee and elbow positioning

Submit all measurements together.
Incomplete or inconsistent data will delay validation.

All measurements are reviewed and confirmed before patterning begins

Taking body length measurements to refer to it in sizing charts, made easier with the help of a friend. You can have someone measure three times for each reading and average.

Common Mistakes

Incorrect measurements are the most common cause of delays.

Typical issues:

  • measuring over loose or thick clothing
  • incorrect tape placement
  • inconsistent posture
  • missing required measurements
  • estimating instead of measuring

These issues require re-measurement and will extend timelines.
